club update

Hiya gang, just a short note, it's club week this week and it's a Singer/Musician/Poet's night, so anyone can come along to perform. Ian our resident singer will be there to provide plenty of music, plus Steve Woolley and Stuart Thompson Banjo, Mandolin and Guitarist extraordinaire will be there for a toe tapping music night lol! friday night review

Hiya gang, well, what a great night Friday was, a big thanks to Des Basterfield who very kindly agreed to stand in as Alun Parry was double booked and was unable to perform at the club. Ian was on great form despite starting with a cold, hope you're feeling better today Sproggy! But Des was the star of the night with his very own style of percussion using a small suitcase and a drum foot pedal lol! He certainly didn't disappoint, thanks so much and thanks to Kevin for all your help! Next club night is June 21st, hope to see you all then, luv L xx

quick update

Hiya gang, our guest this week will be the outstanding Des Basterfield, he describes his music as "Rock 'n' Roll, Folk via Reggae and swing with a bit of Anarchy thrown in for good measure." I would describe him as one of the best musicians around these days. If you've not seen him before, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed, but I've yet to see his famous 'Silver Shoes' lol! Hiya gang, just a short note to let you know this Friday is a guest night. Our guest is the superbly talented, Alun Parry, who is definitely well worth seeing. Alun has played at the club a couple of times and has a new repetiore each time, so I hope to see you there, luv L xx

Hiya gang, just another short note, unfortunately, Ian 'Sproggy' Sproson & Corky can't make it due to prior arrangements so Des Basterfield has very kindly stepped in for the night. Des has his own band 'Flat Cap Two' but also plays solo, he has been a guest at the club and went down really well. He describes his music as 'Rock 'n' Roll, Folk via Reggae and swing with a bit of Anarchy thrown in for good measure.' lol!
