Hiya gang, just another short note, unfortunately, Ian 'Sproggy' Sproson & Corky can't make it due to prior arrangements so Des Basterfield has very kindly stepped in for the night. Des has his own band 'Flat Cap Two' but also plays solo, he has been a guest at the club and went down really well. He describes his music as 'Rock 'n' Roll, Folk via Reggae and swing with a bit of Anarchy thrown in for good measure.' lol! But it's a Singer's night so anyone is welcome to come along and perform, so hope to see you there, luv L xx

friday night update

Hiya gang, hope you are all okay, just a short note to tell you it's a club week. This Friday is a Singer/Musician/Poet's night, so it's your chance to come along and perform or try out a new song or poem. Unfortunately, Ian 'Sproggy' Sproson has prior engagements, so I'd be grateful if anyone is available to 'Stand in' for him as resident singer then we're back to normal in two weeks. Our guest will be a well known face, the brilliant Alun Parry, on 7th of June. Club Starts 20:30pm, hope to see you Friday, luv L xx

friday night review

Hiya gang, well, "Best Laid Plans" and all that went right out the window on Friday. A big thanks to everyone who turned up and made it such an excellent night, Steven Ireland, Jon Poole (although he's better known as JP Slidewell), "Harry", Joe "The Rochdale Ranter", Steve Woolley & Stuart Thompson, plus our very own Ian "Sproggy" Sproson, you were all brilliant! Now all I have to do is get you all to turn up on a Singer's Night, lol! Next club night is 24th of May which is a Singer/Musician/Poet's night, hope to see you there luv L xx

friday update

Hiya gang, just a short note to let you know this Friday is a guest night, although there is a minor change. Steven Ireland our guest is a superb musician and all round entertainer, unfortunately, a few weeks ago he injured his hand, so even though he will be there and will perform, he won't be this weeks guest. So our guest will be Jon Poole, Jon was a regular member at our club in the 80's and as I understand it, hasn't been back on the folk scene for long and has very kindly agreed to step in on Friday and Steven will perform his full repertoire later on in the year. So really you'll be getting two guests to entertain you, hope to see you Friday. Club starts 20:30pm luv L xx
