Hiya gang, hope everyone is well, this Friday 20th January our guest is Jo Zeph Roberts. Joe is a local singer songwriter and has been playing his unique style of music for a number of years  around the folk scene and has also played as part of a duo with Mike Bowden under the name of Masque, although he now plays on his own. Club starts 8.30pm I would suggest you get there early to get a seat as Joe is well worth seeing hope to see you there lv Lxx

Happy new year to you all, I hope you are all well, Friday night went off to a fine start, due to illness the night was run by the wonderful Ian Sproson, there were plenty of singers and new faces a good time was had by all.
Next Friday our guest is extremely talented singer/songwriter Jo Zeph Roberts  Joe runs his own club at Chorlton Cricket club  South Manchester, which is on Thursday nights Joe has also played as a duo with Mike Bowden some years ago, but is now a solo singer and mussician, definitely well worth seeing! starts 8.30pm be there early to get a seat.
 On the 3rd of February it's a singers and musicians night anyone is welcome to come along to sing or play instruments, you don't need to book a  place just come along on the night.
February 17th  the club is one year old yay!! to celebrate this achievement we have a number of guests coming back to play it's sure to be a good night check club listings for more details of guests so come and celebrate with us .Look forward to seeing you soon lv Lxx

Club update

Hiya everyone, sorry for late update but apart from  losing my voice over two weeks ago I must have picked up the worse virus I've ever known!! it's only today I've started to pick up. Well the club will be closed now until January 6th 2012 which will be a singers and musicians night everyone is welcome. Thank you to Ian Sproson and Kevin and Carolanne Roddy for their continued help  running the club plus the members that support it. It was  nice to end the year on such an excellent night  plus a big hello to Gren and Julia on their first visit we'll be seeing more of them in the new year. As there won't be any update blogs until the club reopens you are more than welcome to join us on facebook to keep up with all the gossip go to New Cleveland folk club unplugged  and as  to join. Friday night update

A huge thank you to our guest last Friday, the brilliant Garron Frith for such an entertaining night, unfortunately we had to close earlier than normal as landlady had forgotten to put the heating on as they'd had a funeral party of a regular going on in the pub all day but we found an odd kind of humour in that it had turned into a 'funeral karaoke'!!! only at a Joseph Holt's  pub would that work! Anyway Garron has agreed to come back on our First birthday party which if you don't already know is 17th February 2012 anyone wishing to perform on the night really needs to let me know asap. Hope to see you at next club night on 9th December as this will be the last club night for 2011 any party ideas welcome lv Lxx

Hiya gang, well what an absolutely brilliant night, a big thank you to our guest Vinny  T Spencer who didn't disappoint. Radical? from love songs, Irish folk, Lancashire folk he sang the lot , he really was excellent, plus a big thank you to Emma Runswich who sang  a couple of songs with Vinny. Hiya gang, hope you are all well. just a short reminder that this Friday 28th Oct is a guest night, our guest is Vinny T Spencer. Vinny is an excellent singer songwriter from Liverpool he comes highly recommended from Alun Parry, who went down a storm when he was a guest recently. Vinny is often refered to as a radical songwriter I don't thik so, he's a  brillient musician & a really nice person.
