Thank you for your comment, however it did make me aware that not everyone goes on Facebook, so would be unaware that I was unwell on Friday and was unable to run the club. So a big thank you to Ian Sproson & Kevin Roddy for doing the honours, from all accounts a good time was had by all, as Ian had posted a review of the night on Facebook this page wasn't updated so my sincere apologies to those who stay updated through the blogspot. There has also been a 'blog stat monitor' added to the page which tells you how many people have visited the page for information, I was quite pleased to discover there had been 881 hits since I started it in February, unfortunately my updates and comments don't count shame lol! Let see if we can get to 1,000 by the first birthday that would be good, which ironically is Friday February 17th! As we changed from Thursday nights to Fridays ha! Getting back to this Friday 2nd September, our guest is the brilliant Anthony John Clarke with support from Jo Zeph Roberts, up and coming duo Sandra Martin &Phil Robinson also our very own Ian Sproson, hope to see you there lv Lxx

Hiya gang, hope you're all well. The club reopens tomorrow (Fri 19th Aug) following summer holidays, it's a singers and musicians night and everyone welcome, especially floor singers. The next guest night is September 2nd Anthony John Clarke well worth seeing you can also follow what's going on at the club by joining us on facebook (the New Cleveland folk club unplugged )then you'll be notified of any changes or updates about the club. Hiya gang, thank you to everyone for such a great end of season night last Friday (22nd July), it's the people that make it a great club and we have some excellent guests lined up for next season (see club listing) . We reopen on August 19th with a singers and musicians night, new talent and floor singers are always welcome. The first guest night is on 2nd September with the superb Anthony John Clarke, and support from Joe Zeph Roberts and an up and coming duo Sandra Martin and Phil Robinson, so I'll look forward to seeing you there after my holidays, I'll be the one that's red as a lobster as I don't tan when I go in the sun!!  lol  Lxx. On a more sombre note, flowers and a Mass card was sent on behalf of the club to Kevin and Carolanne following there recent bereavement, our thoughts and prayers are with them xx

Anyway the good news is it's club night tomorrow, a guest night and there's more... the guest is Steve O'Donoghue who comes highly recommended he also asked if he could bing a friend with him Dave Gordon who I hear is also very good, so there you go two for the very cheap price of one. Club update

Hiya gang , well wot a night last night, Thank you to the fantastic Mike Bowden for such a brilliant nights entertainment. It was nice to see a few old faces, but also a lot of new faces too, thank you too to the superb and unique form of humour from Stanley Accrington and the much talented Simon Rusty well done I'd say he's one to look out for in future see you at the club again soon take care all, lv Lorna 8- ) xx

Time changes

Hiya folks hope all well, I been asked by members to change the time the club starts. As the bar is open until 11.30 it has been agreed to have the club start at 8.30 , so no one will miss out on  drinking time .!!!
Regarding comments anyone can leave a comment  about things you want from the club, but you can  also keep up with what going on at the club via  facebook, if you enter the new Cleveland Folk club unplugged and ask to join, that way you can also interact with other club members.  Hope this is of some help to you all.  Lv  Lorna    8- ) xx
