Hiya gang, thank you to everyone for such a great end of season night last Friday (22nd July), it's the people that make it a great club and we have some excellent guests lined up for next season (see club listing) . We reopen on August 19th with a singers and musicians night, new talent and floor singers are always welcome. The first guest night is on 2nd September with the superb Anthony John Clarke, and support from Joe Zeph Roberts and an up and coming duo Sandra Martin and Phil Robinson, so I'll look forward to seeing you there after my holidays, I'll be the one that's red as a lobster as I don't tan when I go in the sun!!  lol  Lxx. On a more sombre note, flowers and a Mass card was sent on behalf of the club to Kevin and Carolanne following there recent bereavement, our thoughts and prayers are with them xx

Hiya gang, hope everyone is enjoying what counts for a British summer 'three hot days and a thunderstorm'! Anyway the good news is it's club night tomorrow, a guest night and there's more... the guest is Steve O'Donoghue who comes highly recommended he also asked if he could bing a friend with him Dave Gordon who I hear is also very good, so there you go two for the very cheap price of one. changes from Thursdays to Fridays

Hiya gang hope you're all ok,well the relaunch went well, both Cllaire and  Damien were on top form,I suppose 'cos it's been such a long time since I'd seen them  you forget just how brilliant they are. Damien sang one of his songs which had been used as a back ground track for a video for Bill Clinton to help with the plight in Dafur called I pity you if you click the link on this page you can hear it and even download it if you want to

Club update

Hiya gang , well wot a night last night, Thank you to the fantastic Mike Bowden for such a brilliant nights entertainment. It was nice to see a few old faces, but also a lot of new faces too, thank you too to the superb and unique form of humour from Stanley Accrington and the much talented Simon Rusty well done I'd say he's one to look out for in future see you at the club again soon take care all, lv Lorna 8- ) xx

Time changes

Hiya folks hope all well, I been asked by members to change the time the club starts. As the bar is open until 11.30 it has been agreed to have the club start at 8.30 , so no one will miss out on  drinking time .!!!
Regarding comments anyone can leave a comment  about things you want from the club, but you can  also keep up with what going on at the club via  facebook, if you enter the new Cleveland Folk club unplugged and ask to join, that way you can also interact with other club members.  Hope this is of some help to you all.  Lv  Lorna    8- ) xx

Hiya everyone hope you're all ok. Just to let you know the folk club is no on a Friday night so the next club nght is Friday 4th March which is a singers night , then on 18th March is a guest night BeelzeBob I understand  from Bob Ashworth it's going to be an 'interesting performance' hope to see you there .

Hiya gang , I hope everyone is well and preparing vocal chords for next week!! In the words of Ian Sproson  "who'd a thowt it" !!  25  years down the road and here we are 'the New Cleveland Folk Club' opens it's doors. I hope everyone is as excited as I am, we've got some cracking guests lined up for your entertainment, on the relaunch night there's the fantastic singer/songwriter Claire Mooney. Claire has been a long standing champion of  live music and always supported the Cleveland folk club we also have the superb and unique talents of  local singer/songwriter  Damien Maddison, Damien was a young man when he first came to the Cleveland folk club, we were lucky to hear most if not all his work before he went on to build quite a successful career which has taken him all around the world., so the New Cleveland folk club is the place to be. Future guests are Bob Ahsworth complete with new new never performed works and the extremely talented Alun Parry I look forward to seeing you next Thursday luv Lorna
